Men’s 70 kg
Oleksii Boruta claimed Ukraine’s only men’s gold medal, having navigated two close contests before producing his best performance in the final. He edged out Levan Kelekhsashvili of Georgia on last-point criteria after their semi-final ended in a 1–1 draw, and then defeated Konstantin Topshinoev of Russia 3–0 with just 19 seconds remaining. However, Kelekhsashvili denied Ukraine a second medal by scoring the decisive point against Ivan Semenov with only one second left in the bronze-medal bout.

Men’s 80 kg
Azerbaijan completed a clean sweep of the 80 kg podium. Vusal Aliyev secured his spot in the final by defeating Javid Niftalizade 3–1, and then went on to win the gold medal by beating Sahib Dadashov 2–0. Dadashov secured his place in the final with a 3–0 win over Diego Makharadze. Meanwhile, Niftalizade avenged his semi-final defeat by defeating Makharadze 3–0 in just 29 seconds to take home the bronze medal.

Men’s 90 kg
Ashraf Ashirov secured Azerbaijan’s second gold medal by defeating Iuza Tsertsvadze of Georgia 2–1 in the semi-final and Evsem Shvelidze of Georgia 3–0 in the final. Shvelidze had previously narrowly beaten Ramiz Hasanov 1–0 to reach the final. Hasanov was awarded a bronze medal when Tsertsvadze was unable to compete. However, the Azerbaijani left with individual recognition after being named the men’s Top Technique winner.

Men’s +90 kg
One of the competition’s most imposing athletes took centre stage in the +90 kg category. Jamal Feyziyev, a 26-year-old from Azerbaijan weighing 195 kg, powered past Tedore Ebanoidze 3–0 in only 55 seconds before holding off Ukraine’s Vazha Daiauri for a tense 1–0 victory in the final. Daiauri reached the final by defeating Mamuka Kordzaia 1–0, while Ebanoidze recovered to beat his fellow Georgian 3–1 in just 40 seconds to take the bronze medal.

Women’s 50 kg
Viktoriia Slobodeniuk produced the finish of the day to secure Ukraine’s first women’s title. Having defeated Argentina’s Claudia Cabrera 3–0 in the semi-final, Slobodeniuk found herself trailing Romania’s Ana Maria Rotaru 1–0 late in the final. With just six seconds remaining, she launched a three-point attack to turn the match around and secure a dramatic 3–1 victory. Diana Rysova won Ukraine's second medal of the day, a bronze, by defeating Cabrera 4–0 in just 37 seconds.

Women’s 60 kg
Oksana Moskalova (UKR) secured the gold medal in the five-woman round robin, concluding her campaign with a 1–0 victory against Nogona Bakayoko of Côte d’Ivoire. Azerbaijan’s Nargiz Samadova took silver, closing her competition with a three-point victory over Ukraine’s Anastasiya Kravchenko. Lydia Pérez (ESP) took the bronze medal, with Kravchenko taking fourth place and Bakayoko taking fifth place.

Women’s 70 kg
Halyna Oleksiivska won the 70 kg title in an all-Ukrainian final, defeating Olena Nikitinska 3–2 in a contest decided by a three-point action with just 23 seconds remaining. Earlier, Oleksiivska had overcome her compatriot, Romana Vovchak, in another closely fought contest, with the same score. Meanwhile, Nikitinska had defeated Moldova’s Irina Ringaci 3–1 in the other semi-final. Vovchak secured third place on the all-Ukrainian podium by stopping Ringaci in only 53 seconds. Oleksiivska's performances also earned her the Women's Top Technique Award.

Women’s +70 kg
Daria Konstantynova secured Ukraine’s fifth gold medal with an unbeaten campaign. Having already secured a decisive 4–0 victory against American star Eliana Bommarito, Konstantynova confirmed her position at the top of the rankings by defeating Greece’s Stefania Zacheila 3–0 in her final bout. Bommarito took silver after finishing with a 3–0 victory over Mariia Zenkina, who earned bronze ahead of Zacheila.

Ukraine's clean sweep of the four women's titles was decisive, helping the country to finish with five champions overall. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan dominated the men’s competition, winning three of the four categories and collecting seven medals.

The Beach Wrestling World Series now moves to Katerini in Greece, where the fifth and final event of the 2026 season will take place on 26–27 September, crowning the kings and queens of the 2026 edition.
