Da Nang, Poreč, Batumi: The first stops of the 2026 World Series revealed

The road to the 2026 Beach Wrestling World Series has officially begun, with the first three stages of the new season now confirmed, and two more locations set to be announced soon.

The campaign will kick off on new sands in Da Nang, Vietnam, marking a fresh addition to the circuit and only the second time that the series will visit Asia. Taking place on a vibrant city beach, the opening event is expected to attract large crowds as a new chapter begins on Asian shores.

Next, the tour returns to Poreč, Croatia for the third time. As the first European stop of the season, the Adriatic backdrop signals the start of summer in the region and a crucial shift in momentum for athletes chasing overall World Series glory.

The third stop brings the series to Batumi in Georgia, another exciting new destination. Batumi, nestled on the Black Sea coast, combines city energy with a deep wrestling heritage, as Georgia has produced many beach wrestling champions.

With three dynamic locations already confirmed and two more to be announced, the 2026 season is set to be the most diverse and competitive yet.

Beyond the World Series, the 2026 international calendar features a variety of important events, including continental championships for different age groups and major multi-sport Games in which beach wrestling is an official event. The Youth Olympic Games in Dakar are among the most significant global stages for the next generation of the sport.
