ALEXANDRIA, Egypt -- The Egypt Wrestling Federation organized the first national championships in Beach Wrestling for men and women in June. The championships was organized in all age-groups.

According to Egypt Wrestling Federation, 371 wrestlers from 37 different clubs participated in the tournament which was held according to UWW rules and in three rings.

After a successful event, the Egypt Wrestling Federation will continue to expand the sport in the country and increase the participants in the coming times. It will also work to spread beach wrestling throughout the nation, in line with the UWW plan to develop and spread beach wrestling.
